Our message from Jesus Christ at the cross, forgive!
Jesus gave us a message at the cross that we are to live by, those of us who have received Him as Savior and Lord.
The message is clear, FORGIVE. Extend God's grace to those that are guilty.
Jesus was beaten, mocked and spit upon, His beard almost pulled out, much more was done to Him than we know.
By His stripes we are healed.
If He could forgive while in horrific pain on the cross, we certainly can forgive any wrong done to us.
Jesus had all worlds sin, from generation to generation on Him at the cross. Every painful disease put on His body, all for the gift of God's love and grace for humanity.
His very creation.
John 1:1-14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
In Him was life and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
There was a man sent from God whose name was John. This man came for a witness of the Light, that all through Him might believe. He was not that light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to all man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of the blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
This is who Jesus is. He is God, who came from the Father. He is the light of the world, He is our Lord and King. He is full of grace towards us and truth is only found in Him.
Beloved, if He can say forgive them from the cross of His suffering, who are we to not forgive those in our life that need God's grace extended to them even though they are guilty?
We are to release those who have hurt or disappointed us, for they do not realize what they are doing. They are bringing evil onto themselves. Close the door that is open to the enemy in their life and yours, and forgive and show love to them.
Forgiveness is the key to unlock, all bitterness, resentment, hurt feelings, pain in our heart, unjustly being accused of something.
Forgive and you will be like Jesus.
After all, He is our example to live by, if we want to live in His peace that He provided for us then we must forgive.
Think about how powerful a tool you have been given, the power through the Holy Spirit to forgive.
Our actions will be obvious for the good, if we have truly forgiven.
Do good to those who hurt you, Jesus told us how to live in peace, it is our choice to yield our will to God's will, and let go of anything that has offended us.
Beloved, be a reflection of God's message from the cross, love, forgive.
We all need forgiveness in our life. We have offended others at one time or other, and God's grace must be extended to others as God has extended His grace and forgiveness to us. Is it easy in the natural, No! But as we ask the Holy Spirit to help us forgive, He will give us the will to forgive. Jesus forgives!
God bless your day
