Are you serving the Lord before sitting at His feet and receiving from Him?
As this world gets more troubled, it is only a setting for the glory of God to show up.
God lets things go just so far and then He steps in with the glory from heaven. Things people could not have dreamed of, God is doing today. Rejoice!!
The sleeping giant that was caught in religion, or I should say religious activities, good things, and being servants, and that's needed, but we must spend time with Jesus first.
But now instead of so much focus on how to fix self and others, the sleeping Giant has its eyes back on the Lord Jesus and spending more time with Him, sitting at His feet.
Conferences are nice, church service is needed, but we need to spend personal time with Jesus, sitting at His feet.
Luke 10:38-42
Now it happened as they went that they entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into their house.
And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus feet and heard His word.
But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me." And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things,
But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.
In the story of Mary and Martha , when Jesus came to their home, Martha was busy doing the normal things, like preparing a meal for Jesus.
Martha was doing, like so many church members today, doing good deeds and helping people, but Jesus made it clear that Mary had chosen the good part first, sitting at the feet of Jesus.
Receiving from Him first, then we go serve. Otherwise we do our serving in our own strength instead of the Lord's, and become weary and anxious and we burn out.
Spending quality time with Jesus is so important, receiving from Him whatever we need to go and bless others.
The Lord told Martha that she was troubled about many things, not just that Mary was not helping.
Martha accused the Lord of not caring. Can you imagine the nerve it took to tell God He doesn't care? And then to tell God what He should do? Do we do that in prayer? This revealed that Martha at this time was very troubled in her heart.
With Jesus present in the room, she can relax and be a peace, He told her, Mary had chosen the good part.
When we sit at Jesus feet, we will see what is troubling us, His light will shine on that area and we than can let go and give it to Jesus and relax in His presence.
Beloved, think about this message. Are you running and serving in your own strength? or are you spending time with Jesus first? In prayer and in His word? Praising and worshipping Him?
God bless your day
