THE BEAUTY OF SPRING TIME.

As we watch the trees turn green again, and watch the birds looking for a place to nest, we are reminded of the beauty in life that God has provided for us. Song of Solomon 2:11-12 For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.  The flowers appear on the earth; The time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in the land. There is a time when all the plants look dead. As the season changes, new life will appear. Just like those old dead things in our life.  When we have allowed bitterness and discouragement to set in and take root.  BUT GOD!! Those old dead things will be pruned away and beautiful new growth will take it's place. The Holy Spirit will convict us of our righteousness in Jesus. This places hope back into our heart. Nothing is hopeless when you are in Jesus Christ. Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Proverbs 23:18 For sur...

JESUS SAID" TAKE UP YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW ME.

Jesus is coming for a church without spot or wrinkle. One that is looking for Him. Remember to remove wrinkles, it will take a hot iron. The fire of the Holy Spirit can and will iron out all our wrinkles. The blood of Jesus will remove every spot, when we die to self, then we can claim resurrection life.  Death first, then new resurrected life. Jesus has provided it all for us, He wants to bless us with every spiritual blessing. He longs to fulfill all His promises.  Our obedience is the road to some of those promises. Some promises are unconditional, while other are conditional.  Hebrews 10:36 (Conditional) For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. Hebrews 13:5 (Unconditional) Let your conduct be without covetousness;  be content with such things as you have.  For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Do you want to see all God's promises become a reality in your ...

THAT LITTLE MEMBER THAT IS IN OUR BODY, THE TONGUE, HAS GREAT POWER TO BLESS OR CURSE.

That tongue of ours, can effect our health, wound hearts, and cause divisions. When we say something demeaning  to cause division, we set trouble in motion. Proverbs 21:23 Whoever guards his mouth and tongue,  keeps his soul from troubles. James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity.  The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire by hell. When we speak the word of God into a situation, Our brain will recognize its creators word and will respond. God's word carries power. Our brain will respond to good words that are spoken, or negative words that are spoken. James 3:8-10 But no man can tame the tongue.  It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.  With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men. Beloved, only the Holy Spirit can tame the tongue. Luke 1:20 (Zacharias in the temple) But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these ...

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS LEADING US TO THE PLACE OF DIVINE FAVOR.

The place of provision, protection, and blessing.   Psalm 5:12 You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;  With favor You will surround him as a shield. Beloved, thank the Lord for His divine favor wherever you go.   Thank Him for direction that will lead you to the place of favor. Favor means: to give freely, to bestow grace upon. I have had this happen so many times in my life. Even yesterday as I prayed for direction and favor. The trim around my windows on my car came off, my car is over 20 years old, so things happen. I heard in my spirit to take it to an auto shop that I have used for years. The guys there did not know how to fix it.  However they directed me to the ones who could fix it.   Following the lead of the Spirit, lead me to the place of favor. Not only did the other place fix the one trim that came off, but he also fixed the trim on the other side that was starting to come loose. That place didn't charge me a dime.  God's favor. ...

JESUS TOLD US TO GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES, THIS IS HOW WE OBEY THAT COMMAND.

How do we go about making disciples? I remember years ago sitting on my back porch talking to Jesus about making disciples. He led me to the parable of the sower of the seeds. Matthew 13:18-23 "Therefore hear the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.  This is he who received seed by the wayside. But he who received seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;   yet has has no root in himself, but endures only for a while.  For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Now he who receives seed among thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and deceitfulness of riches choke the word , and he becomes unfruitful. But he who receives on the good ground is he who hears and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces; some a hundr...

WHAT WERE THE NEW COMMANDMENTS THAT JESUS GAVE TO HIS DISCIPLES? PART 2

Jesus has broken down the commandments, so that the average person can understand them.   Since He fulfilled all of them and did not abolish them, He wanted to  clarify what they really mean. The Pharisee's had added so much of their own sayings and traditions to the law, that Jesus had to clarify what was truth and what was from God. Love and humility, seem to be the important commands. Works follow love and humility. Matthew 6:19-21 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is there your heart will be also. Don't set your heart on riches of this world, for they have wings and will fly away. Matthew 7:12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the prophets. (The golden rule) Beloved,...

WHAT WERE THE NEW COMMANDMENTS THAT JESUS GAVE TO HIS DISCIPLES? Part 1

God is not only the God of grace, He is also the God who expects obedience , because we love Him. When we gave our life to Jesus and accepted all He provides for us, then we are to obey His word. Luke 6:46 "But why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do the things which I say? Don't confuse the Ten Commandments with the ones Jesus gave His disciples. He expounds on those and added more. Jesus breaks down the Commandments and makes it clear to understand.  He teaches beyond the Ten Commandments of the law, which involves mans effort. Matthew 22:36-40 Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law" "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first commandment.  The second is like it.  "You shall love your neighbor as yourself, "On these two commandments hang all the law and the Prophets." Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things s...
