WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR.

First we should be very thankful for our salvation, that Jesus   loves us so much that He came to save us, 2Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! Psalm 100:4-5 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with Praise.  Be thankful to Him, and bless His Name. For the Lord is good;  His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Beloved, if you can read this, be thankful for eye sight.  A mind to reason with. When we come to the Lord in prayer, do we thank Him first, before we give our petition? Do we take the time to enjoy His presence and let Him know how grateful we are to belong to Him.  Thank Him for His goodness, faithfulness, and mercy. God already knows our needs before we ask,  so enjoy His fellowship and spend time being thankful. That's where we will experience His fullness of joy. When I was in ICU at the hospital after dying 3 times in 6 weeks, I was so grateful to see family members sitting ...

SHOULD WE BE GIVING A TENTH OF OUR INCOME TO THE LORD?

There is a question that new believers ask.  Should they give a tenth to the Lord, called the tithe? I say No! No, that was a command in the old covenant to be done out of obligation and duty. Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God?  Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, In what have we robbed You? " In tithes and offering.  In the old covenant you were cursed for doing this. In the New covenant we are to give far above both tithe and offerings, not out of duty, or obligation, but from our heart.   The believer gives more than a tithe and offerings because it all belongs to the Lord. Everything we have has come from our Lord. 2Corinthians 9:5-9 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren to go ahead of time, and prepare your generous gift beforehand which you had previously promised, that it may be ready as a matter of generosity and not as a grudging obligation. But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,  he who sows bountifully wil...

HONESTY AND INTEGRITY, KNOW THE TRUTH.

It all started in the garden of Eden.  The first lie told to the new creation God had made in His image.  The devil telling Adam and Eve that they would be like God if they took of the forbidden fruit. They were already like God, made in His image both male and female. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him, male and female. When sin entered into the human race, so did corruption, decay and death. It all started with a lie. Beloved, lying is serious, it is the very nature of Satan.  When you think that a little lie won't hurt, you are wrong!! You will be giving the enemy an entrance to your mind. Remember deception is a truth mixed with a lie. You have to believe the lie mixed with the truth in order to be deceived. Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,  But those who deal truthfully are his delight. In the birth of the church there is a story that emphasizes the importance of telling the truth. A...

WHY DOES GOD ALLOW OFFENCES TO COME INTO OUR LIFE? PART 2

How do we deal with offences that we have experienced? Proverbs 17:9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates friends. So, how do we deal with an offence, we cover it with the grace of God and love. Just as God does for us when we are  displeasing to Him. When we cover an offence with God's grace we overlook it and choose to give something of value to ourselves, Peace and rest for our soul. Beloved, our security is in Jesus not in other peoples opinions of us. We must die daily to self, as self is our worst enemy.  Stop trying to measure up to others.  Your journey is about you and Jesus.  Others journey is different from yours.  There are hidden things in their life that only God knows about. 2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who who commend themselves.   But they, measuring themselves, by themselves and comparing themselves among themselves are not wise. If ...
