Trusting God in time of famine

There are two kinds of famine.  One is a famine of the hearing of the word of God.   Amos 8:11 Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord,  "That I will send a famine on the land,  Not a famine of bread, nor of thirst for water,  but of the hearing the words of the Lord.  (because of their idols of sin They will not hear Gods voice. There is also a famine of food. We have many resources, but only one true source.  Jesus is our source for all we need. Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. As the birth pangs continue on the earth,  we see weather changes, unusual signs in the heavens and we hear rumors of lack of food. Beloved, the world is not our source of supply. JESUS IS! Look how He supplied for the disciples who were discouraged after fishing all night. John 21:5-6 Then Jesus said to them, Children do you have any food?"  They answered Him, "No" And He said to them,...

Truth or the worlds deception. We have a choice to make.

What are you filling your mind with?   Is it the truth of God's word, or the worlds deception.   There are some well meaning people in the religious world that are beginning to compromise with the world. Don't let that be you! Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal to God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. The enemy wants to steer us away from the truth that is in Jesus Christ our Lord. Deception doesn't happen all at once, But little by little, the devil adds to his lies and tricks and tries to make them palatable.   He makes things look good for a season, then he speeds up his attacks. Whatever we put into our mind, will come out of our mouth and will be revealed in our life. It will effect our character.  And all that we do. Beloved,  we are in the last of the last days....

God is light, and in Him is no darkness, we also are children of light.

Why do we feel we have to add to God's words? His words stand on its own.  I hear this every once in a while, from well meaning preachers. Trying to make God's word more palatable. It is already palatable, it needs no help. Psalm 119:103 How sweet are Your words to my taste,  Sweeter than honey to my mouth! Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony!  If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Keep it simple, God did.  A missionary years ago at a house meeting, said to us, KISS.  we said what is that he said "Keep it simple stupid."  Don't use big words to cause confusion. John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying  " I am the light of the world, He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. Do we have the light of Jesus in us? YES! According to God's word we have the light of life. The Holy Spirit is the writer and interpreter of God's word. We do not need to add...

New Season, New people, new blessings.

We all go through new seasons in our life.  There are new experiences for us to walk in, that the Holy Spirit has prepared for us. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To everything there is a season,  a time for every purpose under heaven;  A time to be born, and a time to die,  A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;   A time to kill, and a time to heal;  A time to break down, and a time to build up;  A time to weep,   and a time to laugh;  A time to mourn,  and a time to dance;   A time to cast away stones,  and a time to gather stones,  A time to embrace,  and a time to refrain  from embracing. A time to keep, and a time to throw away,  A time to tear and a time to sew;  A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;   A time to love,  and a time to hate;  A time of war, and a time of peace. In each stage of our spiritual growth, it will reveal different seasons in our li...
