HAS GOD GIVEN US A WINDOW OF AN OPORTUITY, OF SOME TIME TO REPENT AND OBEY HIS WORD?

My bible says that God chooses who He puts in authority as leaders. Good or bad. Romans 13:1-2 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities.  For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. I believe that we are seeing that the Lord is giving us, the body of Christ, His church, time to repent and get things in order for His return. Revelation 2:2-5 " I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil.  And you have tested those who say  they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name's sake and have NOT become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Beloved, can you see that busyness in doing ministry for the kingdom is good to a point, but when busyness robs you of time with Jesus, it is not good.  With Jesus is where we get wisdom, strength, and direction.

UNCOMFORTABLE AND BEING FRUITFUL, OR COMFORTABLE AND BEING COMPLACENT. PART 2

We see in 1st Timothy that he had to come out of his comfort zone to be leader of the church in Ephesus. 1 Timothy 1:3-5 As I urge you when I went to Macedonia- remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine, nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith. We find Paul well advanced in his years here. He leaves young Timothy in charge of the church at Ephesus, that has had some real problems. 1Timothy 1:18-20 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, of whom are Hymenaeus  and Alexander , who I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme. You see Beloved, who has the authority over Satan after the resurrection.  We believers do. He can be used like a whip. We have t

UNCOMFORTABLE AND BEING FRUITFUL, OR COMFORTABLE AND BEING COMPLACENT. PART 1

Are we to be comfortable in our walk with Jesus? NO! Zephaniah 1:12-13 And it shall come to pass of that time, that I will search Jerusalem with lamps, And punish the men who are settled in complacency. Who say in their heart, The Lord will not do good, nor will He do evil. Therefore their goods shall become booty, And their houses a desolation; they shall build houses, but not inhabit them, They shall plant vineyards, but not drink their wine. What a great warning to those who fall into complacency, being self satisfied. Being comfortable is providing physical ease and relaxation, that is free from stress or anxiety and fear. Being comfortable is not the same as being comforted.  God comforts us when we are stressed out, or grieving, He doesn't do that, so that we can sit back and be comfortable.  He comforts us so that we can move forward and do what He has called us to do.  He doesn't  do that, so  that we can be lazy and unfruitful. We as believers will suffer and walk thro

SUBMIT TO GOD, AND RESIST THE DEVIL.

When we set our mind and heart to submit to God, then, that is when we can resist the devil and he will flee from us. James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  What does it mean to submit to God? It means submit your will, emotions and mind to God, your whole being. Resist and oppose the enemy, he will flee when he sees that you have left no opening for him. When we submit to God, then Jesus is on our side.   The precious blood of Jesus speaks loud to the enemies ears. Let me encourage you to read all of James chapter 4.  Hear the heart of God through James. If you have sinned, confess it quickly, as Jesus has already paid for it, and leave no entrance to the enemy. He goes for your mind. He is the father of lies, if he gains an entrance because of sin unconfessed, he will lie to you and try to convince you that God doesn't love you. The battlefield is in the mind, as Ern Baxter wrote in his book years ago.  He went home to Jesus in 1993, gre

DO YOU SHARE YOUR FAITH IN JESUS WITH THOSE AROUND YOU?

Has God given you a voice? Use it for good. Psalms 107:1-3 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.  And gathered out of the lands,  From the east and from the west,  From the north and the south. If God has given you a voice, then it is time to share the good news, and the goodness of God, and tell of His salvation. I am not on social media, but for those of you who are, use that platform for good.  It is a platform that God can use to bless others.  Those who are searching for answers, searching for truth.  Jesus is truth!! I heard a God fearing Pastor speak about how believers in Jesus can use the media to share good news. Beloved, since God hears our every word and thought, Oh how we would bless Him by sharing the redemption story and explaining God's plan. Psalms 139:2-4 You know my sitting down and rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehen

KEEP YOUR FOCUS ON JESUS, NOT ON ALL THE WORLD IS DOING AND SAYING.

Have you noticed that the more the world turns its back on God, that the Holy Spirit moves mightily saving souls? The darker the world becomes, the brighter God children are shining. Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, it gives light to all who are in the house. LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Recently, people are coming to salvation my the millions in all nations.  The Holy Spirit is moving mightily. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord raises a standard. Jesus is in the fight, like He was for Joshua Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. Beloved, look around you, our God reigns, He has His hand in the battl

ARE WE SAVED BY GRACE ALONE? WE MUST HAVE TRUTH ALSO. GRACE AND TRUTH ARE CONNECTED.

We must understand that grace and truth are connected, they cannot be separated. John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. We must trust the truth of God's word to experience His grace. (Unmerited favor) It's all Jesus.  He is grace and truth. Beloved, did you know that Jesus never mentions grace in the gospels? He did however, say that He is the way, the truth and the life. But He sure did demonstrate grace and truth wherever He went. We must believe the truth that Jesus died for all our sins, and we must confess that with our mouth. Romans10:6-10 But the righteousness of faith speaks this way, "Do not say in your heart,  "Who will ascend into heaven?"( that is to bring Christ down from above) or "who will descend into the abyss" (that is to bring Christ up from the dead), But what it does say? " the word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" that is the word of faith which we
